Favorite Flick Friday

Actors: Liesel Matthews, Liam Cunningham, Eleanor Bron

Rating: G

Year: 1995

Genre: Family

The Scoop: Seriously sweet movie. Young girl raised by Dad is sent to a boarding-type school when Dad is sent to war. The little girl has a lovely imagination that has always been encouraged by her dad. The female head of the school has always been jealous of her and it is put into action when she receives word that the little girl's dad has gone missing in action and will no longer be able to pay for her schooling. Chaos ensues. So do the tears. It's sweet. If you have girls, enjoy it with them on a Friday night. OR....a possible Daddy/Daughter date night? I know Daniel caught about 70% of it and, well....let's just save face for him and say he liked it.

Favorite Character: I like Amelia; sister of the mean lady. She's funny and plump. Who doesn't like characters like that?

Favorite Line: [Sara is tracing her father's face with her finger]

Capt. Crewe: What are you doing? Memorizing me by heart?

Sara Crewe: No... I already know you by heart.

I mean, really......

Why I Love This Movie: Every girl, no matter what age, likes to fancy herself a princess. This movie reaffirms that. It's cute, it's wholesome, it's a good story!
