Not Me! Monday

Inspired by Mckmama.

This last week, I did not get distracted during my dusting duties in my dining room (what an awesome alliteration THAT is) and discover my dirty windowsills. I decided to wash them. So, I filled up a bucket with warm, soapy water and set to it. They were definitely not so dirty that the water turned a DARK black. And I certainly did not realize that it probably was the first time I washed them since I moved into our house almost 3 years ago. That would be totally ridiculous. Once a week I do all of the deep cleaning like the baseboards and oven. So, my windowsills would never be that dirty.

Having enjoyed many fine evenings this last week, my husband did not finally take down our festive Valentine's Day lights. Oh wait. Did I say Valentine's Day lights? I meant CHRISTMAS LIGHTS. Nope, not us. We definitely did not still have our Christmas lights up. That would be so ridiculous. And if we DID have them up, we would not have drawn further attention to the fact by using them to assist people who were coming to visit us for the first time. Even though it would be so easy to say, "Just look for the townhouse with the snowflakes all over the front porch and the lights all over the roof and windows," we would never stoop that low. Our house is beautifully decorated and up kept. We would never reduce it to a joke causing it to resemble something out of "Deep South Trailer Park Decorating" magazine.

And I certainly didn't just make that joke. On my blog.

Easter was this last weekend and we took Miriam to both family's houses for them to see her in her pretty dress.

At my mom's house, Daniel and I definitely did not get Easter baskets filled to the brim with our most favoritest candies. And I most certainly did not know that I was getting one because there is no way my mom buys me one every year. And if she did buy me one every year, I would probably tell her that I am a grown woman, a mother and a wife, so she doesn't need to waste money on buying me an Easter basket. That's what I would say if she gave me one. But, she doesn't. So I won't.

I didn't clean our window sills for two years either- I don't know- you just kinda forget about them.

P.S. Miriam's Dress is so cute!
P.P.S. I am jealous of your candy baskets! = )

Miriam looks like a little Easter angel. Her dress is adorable. You're supposed to clean window sills, huh?....

Heather, years ago in our first house, one day I happened to look at the window sills in our bedroom, and found a note that Jim had written in the dust that said 'please clean me'. I was flabergasted!! I thought 'you gooberhead, if you took the time to write the note you could have just cleaned it yourself'. Jim did learn from that experience though... Hahaha. Sue

You make me laugh! When I was pregnant last summer, I went on a blinds cleaning frenzy (they were gross). Miriam is so cute in her fancy dress.

What!?! You have to clean the window sills also.....Will the madness ever end? Like I need another thing to clean in my house! I guess if it isn't in the form of poo I shouldn't complain.
