As with a lot of things in motherhood, planning outings for my children isn't really my strong suit. As in....I don't really like a lot of things that other Colorado mamas seem to look forward to with the summer arriving. In fact, I despise the heat.
But, in an effort to create lasting childhood memories and encourage my children to be different than me, I have been striving to take advantage of this warm weather.
We have done a LOT of trips to the park. Close ones. Far ones. Sometimes 3 in one morning.
They have been LOVING it. Eve in particular. Every time we drive past a playground, you are sure to hear a loud "MAAAAAAA!!!!!!" from the backseat.

| Seriously....Eve loves it even if she looks like I am torturing her in the sunhat. |

One day we drove into Boulder to go to a park there. This is when I got my brilliant idea to visit a new park each week in the summer. BRILLIANT, right? Yeah, ask me how it's going later in the summer.
Miriam so likes to follow around the older kids in the park, trying to do exactly what they do. She worked really hard at climbing up this rock.
But, really....even not being an "outdoor" person, I can value this view. Gorgeous.
I really love the mountains. Honest. I love being in them, smelling them, relaxing in them. And I love this little girl walking in front of them.
Maybe I'll post pictures of each new park this summer.
That's optimistic.
