I've really been trying to accomplish things off of my Pinterest list. Why? Several reasons, really. But, the most important one to me....I don't want to spend hours on Pinterest without ever actually doing any of the things on my board. I'm quite lazy, so that is always a temptation.
In December, I tried something like this to display our Christmas cards , but on our coat closet door. It looked much cuter than it looks in this picture. Please don't look super closely because you may see a picture of us. Maybe. And maybe a lame card from our dentist office. I mean...probably not because we really have a lot of friends and don't need to fill in gaps in our display to make us look popular. You know.
My girls eat a lot of refried beans. They love them in tacos and quesadillas and even to dip tortilla chips in. Being on a budget, I decided to try making my own...plus I love that I know exactly what is in it. I used this recipe, which was REALLY good. I mean....eat with a fork good.
I made Daniel come over and try them after I finished. I handed him a spoon full and he looked at me like I was totally disgusting and said, "Umm....I don't think I could eat a spoonful plain." So I dumped a little off and handed it to him again. He tried it. And then asked for a bowl.
They kind of resembled chocolate pudding, which may have been a cruel joke to play on my picky 2 year old.
But, she did really like them anyway. Notice the underwear sash she is still wearing.
Miriam loves everything. I mean EVERYTHING. So, this was no surprise. Plus....like I said, they are GOOD.
