Not Me! Monday

Inspired by Mckmama.

Hello dear readers! Or reader. Whichever is correct. It is time for my second ever Not Me! Monday post. Here we go.

This past week, I most certainly did not continue my use of the vinegar solution. Those of you who read my last Monday's post will know what I am speaking of.

I also did not serve already prepared sirloin and mashed potatoes to our dinner guests. Nope. I would never do such a thing. I cook everything from scratch here in the Milburn household. I even grind our own wheat for bread and pasta.

I did not stay in the same clothes for close to 3 days. I would never do that. Even when I am sick, my motto is "fashion before comfort." Therefore, running a fever, I made sure to drag my lazy booty into the shower each and every morning; taking extra care to apply the make-up so that when I blew my nose for the hundredth time, I would still look beautiful.

I did not leave a disgusting trail of snotty kleenexes in whichever room I visited for any period of time. And that being said, I did not have to get a trash bag and scour the house for them. What a phenomenal waste of time and energy cleaning up after my own germs that would have been.

Running a fever and wishing that I could puncture a hole in my head to let out some of the congestion, I did not eat a huge bowl of chips and salsa just so I had something in my tummy to take some tylenol. That would have been a terribly bad thing to eat when you are sick. I definitely made sure that I went up to the kitchen and made myself some chicken noodle soup (from scratch, of course).

Speaking of soup, I did not call my mom and tell her how sick I was. I am a grown woman after all. And she did not run right over with a big pot of homemade chicken and rice soup.

I also did not spend a ridiculous amount of time watching episodes of Dawson's Creek. Which I absolutely, positively do not own. And I did not fast-forward almost every scene that includes the main character, Dawson, so that I could watch the scenes with Pacey and Joey. Why would I do that? I have never even seen that show, let alone watched it enough to have favorite characters. I am 26 years old and married with a daughter, after all.
