Not Me! Monday-Tuesday

So, obviously, I did not wait until Tuesday to do my Not Me! Monday post. I am completely organized and motivated and would never even think of putting something off when in the title of the task, it actually states the day I intend to post it. Nope. I would never do that. It would look stupid.

I most certainly did not throw a fit when I hauled my baby out to the car, packed up her stroller and drove 20 feet only to get out and find that 2 of my tires had been slashed with a knife. Nope, not me. I am patient and loving and stayed completely calm.

And I did not let off a slew of anger induced words, asking why the vandals couldn't have slashed the tires of a Mercedes or Lexus on the same street because obviously they could afford to replace said slashed tires.

And following the vandalism, I did not immediately narrow down two groups of immature boys that I suspected of the act. That would be a rush to judgement. Just because there is a group of middle schoolers that loiter at the park across the street everyday after school until 5:30, does not mean that they are causing problems. In fact, I am sure that they are holding an after-school prayer group in which they pray for their classmates and share the love of Jesus.

I did not park myself at my living room window each day like a spy, watching the college boys across from me skateboard and smoke on their porch. Because they most certainly would never do anything so horrible as to slash a stay-at-home mother's tires; her only connection to the outside world and adult company, thereby causing her to go insane with stir craziness.

I did not take my daughter on about a thousand walks last week when I discovered that she loved them and would be quiet the entire time, giving me a much needed break from having to entertain her all the live long day. I would never do that just so I didn't have to interact with her. She is sweet and lovely and I am perfectly happy being at her beck and call 24/7.

And I did not take about a million pictures of her in her stroller when she was having so much fun on the walks......

I did not force Miriam's rolly polly body into an outfit that is too small for her simply because it is her Daddy's favorite outfit. And she most certainly didn't have fun in it anyway.....

I also did not attempt to replicate my favorite picture of my baby brother, Isaac, naked on the changing table.(and I did not just describe the picture of my brother to the entire blogging world. He would kill me.) Such moments come natural in our house and absolutely none of our pictures are posed.

This past week, I also did not give my husband a lecture regarding leaving a pan warming up on the stove and how it could burn the pan and quite possibly ruin it.......only to do that EXACT thing 2 days later. The smoke alarms most certainly did not go off in my house and I did not take the following picture of my house enveloped in smoke.....
