Not Me! Monday

Yes, my friends, it is time for another week of confessions regarding things I definitely did NOT do.

This past week, finding that I had run out of toilet paper, I did not step 5 feet out of my bathroom and grab a couple of Miriam's cucumber melon baby wipes. And I most certainly did not enjoy the fact that they were all toasty warm from her wipes warmer.

I did not spend two nights on the couch while Daniel tried to help Miriam sleep through the night simply because I couldn't stand to hear her cry and not do anything about it. I am a stern mama and I am totally and completely able to do what is best for my daughter in the long run without giving in to my emotions.

I did not spend a couple days disrupting our schedule, forcing my daughter out of her normal nap time. And I most certainly did not find her asleep in the following places as a result of that disruption:

This past week, I did not nurse my daughter a number of times simply to quiet her whining so that I could enjoy a few moments of watching Alias....er, I mean, a few moments of peace. I am a very attentive mother and know every trick in the book to calming my baby.

That being said, I also did not put Miriam on my lap and turn on the Media Player visualization tool to mesmerize my daughter so that I could catch up on my blog reading. (kudos to a fellow mommy for that idea)


I did not get lazy while trying to teach Miriam to use a spoon this last week. I have an abundance of patience with my sweet daughter and I most certainly did not try an alternative method to get her to eat her cereal. She is not lazy like her mama and has definitely not decided it is her favorite way to eat now.
