That is the statement I hear pretty much on a daily basis. It is usually from my husband, mom, husband's mom, sister-in-laws....ok, pretty much everyone says it to me. And it is most always dripping with sarcasm. Because, you see, my daughter.....is me; wrapped up in a petite 20 pound package. She makes my facial expressions. She says the things I say. She laughs loud and talks even louder.
And she's dramatic. Which I'm told is also exactly like me.
Drama. Drama. Drama.
There is no shortage of eye rolling and cries accompanied with big tears in our house. It gives us a peek of what we are in for when she turns 12....and then onward for the rest of her teenage years. It will prove to be an adventurous ride. I'm thinking it will be similar to the motorcycle trip we took a few years ago. The ride on the back of a bike on the Million Dollar Highway, to be exact.
It was beautiful, fun and exhilarating, but, boy was I glad I was wearing a helmet. There were no barriers or guard rails and if you slid off the road it was a LONG WAY DOWN.
That's what I imagine raising Miriam is going to be like.
There's definitely not a shortage of photos of Miriam displaying this drama for us to remember long after her baby fat has disappeared from her face.
There's the one of her in her pretty Easter dress looking so prim and proper......

The one of her covered in stickers and smiling for the camera......
And again.....
There's the famous "eye look" that she does when asked to do something, or say something or 'come here please.' (Not to be confused with most people's natural tendency to blink when the camera snaps.)
Here we have Miriam's laughing pose where she appears to be having the time of her life solely for the camera.
Her baby Zoolander pose........
Her, "I don't want to walk anymore, so I'll just pretend to be sleeping while I am holding your hand and you'll never suspect any different."
I've spoken before about her love of music. Here she seems to be worshipping at Disney on Ice.
We are definitely not in shortage of pictures displaying Miriam's dramatic personality. But, it definitely makes photos like this........
.........all the more precious.

aww- Miriam is so fun. I like this post- she really is a ball of fire, isn't she? She looks even more grown up in these pictures that she did last week at MOPS- weird.
She is so much like you when you were that age Heather. She will be a handfull in those teenage years, but you couldn't ask for a better daughter, again, just like you.
Love Mom
