All About Eve

It really isn't fair for the subsequent children in a family not to have as much attention showered on them. I suppose it's just life. And I am honestly fine with the idea that Eve has to cry a little more often than Miriam did. Or that she doesn't get held as much or even rocked to sleep as often. But, what I am not fine with is not having documented what an amazingly wonderful, beautiful, silly, happy little girl my second born baby is.

So, in honor of my sweet baby, this post will be ALL ABOUT EVE. With lots of pictures. LOTS of pictures.

The first 8 weeks were rough, as they are with most babies, but after that.....the sweetest little personality emerged.

She smiles allllll the time.

And she LOVES to cuddle stuffed animals or blankets. Or anything soft. Miriam was not like this at all, so it is fun to watch her fall asleep cuddling a puppy or something.

She also loves her solid food. Even though I LOATHE spoon feeding babies (ugh.....I feel like my life wastes away for 30 minutes while I try and scoop strained bananas into a little mouth) I started Eve on solids way earlier than I did Miriam.

But, her first bite of rice cereal was definitely not her favorite.

Or her second.......

And she has the SWEETEST blue eyes. Deep and sparkling.

She falls asleep in her car seat and is calmed by car rides. THAT is new for us, too.

She is wide awake the minute we stop, though. She likes to see what's going on.

Look at that smile!

Eve is a mama's girl. As in.....I go out of her sight and she sobs. Slightly annoying at times, but cute as all get out when she saves her biggest smiles for me.

She wouldn't complain one bit if I carried her around every second of the day.

My little beauty.

Cute as a button!

Sometimes when I am holding her, she will look back and touch my face just to make sure I am still there.

Or she will reach around and pull my face next to hers and plant a sweet wet baby kiss on my mouth.

Doesn't she just melt your heart?

Or make you feel like an idiot?

LOVE her.

And that's my girl.

She's a doll, Heather! I just love her. That picture of you squishing your nose against hers is adorable.
