Blessings of Friends

Yesterday, after getting back to work from a late lunch, I walked into my building and was quickly asked for my help setting up a meeting. My first thought was....'great...this is going to be something technical and I am going to look like an idiot.' But, as I approached the meeting room, which was filled with people, they suddenly shouted , "surprise!" and took my picture.
The dear people from my work had put together a huge surprise shower where they not only blessed me with their thoughtfulness in simply attending, but they had purchased 2 of our large ticket items from our registry as well as taking up a collection of money for anything else we may need. I was awestruck and still am. (pictures that make me look much fatter than I imagine myself to be will surely follow this post....)
And the blessings don't stop there. As I am at work today, one of my best friends, Tiesha, her husband and her kids are at my house cleaning. Yes, CLEANING. I was encouraged to leave my house in disarray; which, obviously was not hard for me. And when I return from work, they are going to have dinner ready for us and then join us to eat.
I am so humbled at the outpouring of love that friends and family have shown me. It is especially humbling because my pregnancy has been so fabulous. No complications and very little sickness. So many women have it worse. I have the normal pregnancy fatigue, swelling and aches and pains, so it is so wonderful to have people in my life come around me in love and support. How amazing is that?
Thank you, Lord, for incredible blessings!
