Dear Baby Girl-
There are many things that I want to remember about carrying you in my tummy. The most important is that you are a mover! You are ALWAYS moving. Kicking, rolling, shaking....I don't know what else you can do in there, but you find a way to do it. Sometimes I can feel you putting your little hand on my right hip bone and pushing your entire body up in my stomach. Everything morphs and moves when you do that. In fact, you did something similar the other night when Daddy was on the phone and he was looking at my tummy. You moved and my whole stomach just shook. His eyes got really big and he mouthed to me, "Was that you?" When I told him it was you, he smiled and kept watching to see if you would do it again.
You also really like to sit way up by my ribs. So high that when I am sitting down, my ribs just rest on your little body. Although, using the word "rest" makes it sound like it is comfortable when it is anything but! I try and push you down, but you are stubborn and won't budge. I think you get your sass from your Daddy. ; )
One night, when I was getting up to go to the bathroom (you sit on my bladder and make me have to pee a LOT) I felt your little bum just floating up at the top of my tummy. It was so clearly your tush, that I got such a thrill out of identifying it. I also love feeling your heels move on the right side. It is so fun!
I have so many dreams about you and so does your Daddy. Last night, I dreamt about what outfit I was going to bring you home from the hospital in. In my dream, it was a pink nightgown with equally pink socks and a hat. I think that made my decision for me.
Daddy dreamt last night that he was giving you kisses on your cheek and you were imitating him. He said that everyone kept exclaiming how impressed they were that you already knew how to do that and he just told them you were very smart!
Your room is almost finished! Clothes are washed (you have a TON), your changing table is all set up and diapers are in your diaper service, your crib has a clean sheet on it and is ready for you to snuggle. Nana and I painted the room for you, too. And we just got in the material for your bedspread and curtains yesterday. It is so cute; dark brown with bright pink, blue, green and orange flowers all over it. Nana is so excited to start on it and get everything put together for your arrival. Everyone is so excited.
Your Grandma Milburn is having a shower for you in a couple of weeks. All of the Milburn family is going to be there and your Aunt Kristen and Aunt Deborah are VERY excited for it. I was just talking to Aunt Kristen the other day and she was saying how special it was that you are going to make her an aunt and how excited she was for your arrival.
Your uncles are excited too. And, baby girl...you have a LOT of uncles. Five, to be exact. And they will love you so much.
It is not long now, my sweet daughter! We can't wait to meet you!!!
Love~
Mommy
